As the title would suggest this window has seen the arrival of several new players to cover the departures of several key players, but more on that soon!

Firstly pre-season, overall a good one even if it was broken up by the Qualifying Rounds for Europe but one that instilled some confidence into the side with the challenge of the Championship and UEFA Cup ahead. However at the back of everyones mind was who in the dressing room would still be here come the start of the season.

An opening victory against AFC Wiggle set us off on the right foot, our opposition reeling from a horrid first season that saw them drop out of the Conferance North. Whilst AFC Wiggle put up a good fight our quality shone through as we crusied to a 3-0 victory, Phil Taylor playing at left wing opening the scoring from the spot, with Ritchie Lee and Edwin securing the victory either side of the half time break.

Next up was our first dabble in Europe against Albanian side Elbasani, the first leg was to be played at their ground but the hostile environment made no difference to the final score as Wiggleville ran out 5-0 winners, Player of the Season Will Luck grabbing 3 and Phil Taylor, wearing the armband, was in great form to score 2.

In the friendly against Arsenal a disappointing showing from the boys ensured we were well beaten 4-1, this being our first loss since the West Brom FA Cup game. Ben Levy getting the solitary Wiggleville goal.

Elbasani were the visitors in our next game as they tried to restore some pride following the 1st leg loss, however once again they were dispatched with relative ease 6-0, making it 11-0 on aggregate. James Martin opening the scoring allowing Onos to cruise by the Elbasani defence to score 4 and Garner also managed to chip in.

Juve were the next friendly opponents and showed class to defend their 1-0 lead for an hour, Wiggleville could feel unfortunate as they had chances to equalise but squandered them. The final score 1-0.

The league campaign started well with an opening day 4-1 victory over QPR, we followed this up with a battling 1-0 win against Doncaster, however inconsistency and a rattled Wiggleville team led to a 2-1 defeat against Wolves. Portsmouth were the last opposition of the month and we looked to have recovered from our first ever league loss as the South Coasters they were beaten 2-0.

During that run of game we came up against Swiss team BSC Young Boys in the 4th Qualifying Round, over the 2 legs we beat them 1-0 on aggregate, Will Luck the scorer. Following this victory the groups were drawn, and Wiggleville were handed a relatively tough group consisting of Danish side SC Heerenveen, Italy’s Fiorentina and Austrian SK Rapid Wien.

Well thats the fixture round up so now onto the Transfers, firstly those players leaving Wiggleville, 1st to depart was inspirational, commanding centre back Stuart Mitchell who left for Blackburn for £9.75m, with this departure long serving vice-captain Phil Taylor took the armband and James Martin promoted to Vice Captain.

Next to leave was tireless midfielder Paul Horrox, Man City having a £9m bid accepted for his signiture. Also going to Man City for a measly £7.25m was our midfield workhorse Ben Newton. Following these 2 out of the Wiggleville door was Alessandro Ambrosini, leaving for his beloved AC Milan for £9m. And finally Andorran interntional Greg Beckett left the club for Porto, £6m the price.

So with these players leaving the club for a total of £34m, and obviously losing last years loan players, we were short in several areas, but I wasted no time in ensuring the team was covered. After an impressive loan spell Emiliano Insua (£4.2m) was brought in on a permanant deal to cover Taylor at left back. Tommy Spurr (£5m) was brought in for the departing Mitchell, along with Richard Stearman (£2.7m) to cover the losses of Ambrosini and Beckett. With Denilson’s loan not being extended Danny Rose (£7m) was brought in as cover for Lee at left wing. Giuseppe Ingrassia (£925K) was signed as back up for Foale and Raastad, and Ched Evans (£7.5m) to add competition up front. And to fill the void left by our workhorse young Brazilian Eduardo (£7m) was signed from Botafogo. The overall value of these signings hitting the £35m mark.

The next post will probably come at the end of December!

Well thats it, the season has drawn to a close and I don’t think there is much doubt over the winners of the league. Promotion for Wiggleville was confirmed on the 10th of March with 12 games left (3 in hand) and the league was won 3 games later on the 21st of March.

Whilst March was a excellent month for Wiggleville, seeing them win the League, and the League cup Febuary was a mix of emotion, the league was dealt with in the same fashion as always and the opposition dispatched with relative ease. However in the FA Cup 5th round, Wiggleville were drawn again West Brom at home, but were unable to consistenty breakdown the West Brom defence, and the game ended Wiggleville 1-2 West Brom, our goal coming via Horrox.

In the Johnstones Paint Trophy after what was a disappointing draw against Leeds in the 1st Leg Wiggleville dominated the 2nd and won the tie 5-3 on aggregate, Onos (2) and Robinson getting the 3 2nd Leg goals. Through to the final we went up against Swindon, who the week prior to the final were beaten 1-0 by Wiggleville, we showed our class in the final however winning 2-0 and shutting Swindon out of the game.

Following the League Cup final we went on a 15 game winning run in the league conceding only 2 goals but scoring 41.

So now for a few pictures. (Click the image to see the full size version)

So those are league related images and details now onto the squad itself. Our captain Stuart Mitchell led the way in terms of overall appearances with 60 starts, scoring 1 goal and getting 2 Man of the Match awards, finished the season with an average rating of 7.42.

Our leading goalscorer was James Martin, scoring 41 in all competitions from 57 appearances, however the most prolific in terms of goals per games played was Baba Onos scoring 32 in 40 appearances (33 starts 7 sub appearances). The top 5 goalscorers were as follows:

James Martin 41

Baba Onos 32

Will Luck 21

Ritchie Lee 16

Phil Taylor 14

So before I post a few more images I will list the players who performed well enough to be included in the Wiggleville Best 11 and their average rating, I will also reveal who the fans voted Player of the Year.

GK: R.S. Raastad (6.97 )
DR: J. Bishop (7.46)
DL: P. Taylor (7.42)
DC: J. Haskell (7.35)
DC: S. Mitchell (7.42)
MR: W. Luck (7.56)
ML: R. Lee (7.49)
MC: B. Levy (7.34)
MC: B. Newton (7.33)
FC: J. Martin (7.46)
FC: B. Onos (7.32)

And the player of the season, was not our leading goalscorer, and it wasn’t our superb captain. No, the player of the season was our most consistent performer who in every game he played he made a difference, especially in the cup competitions. The fans, and my Player of the Season is Will Luck

Below you can find the whole teams stats, the Best XI, the season records and the profile and stats of the player of the season.

The League Cup final, a memorable day for both sets of fans. Liverpool were looking to make it 8 League cup victories and Wiggleville were set for their first final of the competition.

The media build up predicted a resounding win for Liverpool and the feeling around the Falcon’s Nest was one of subdued optimism, having lost in the FA Cup 5th Round to West Brom and having flirted with defeat against Man Utd.

Wiggleville arrived at Wembley and took in the sights, the younger members of the squad who missed out on the play off final the previous year soaking up the atmosphere whilst those that had been once prepared themselves for the battle ahead.

The build up and preparation begin, the boys were told the final starting line up and were told to go out their and perform for the fans, make them proud to be a supporter of the Wigglers. The 18 man squad list was passed onto match referee Alan Wiley. Starting in goal was the recently unbeatable Raastad, in front of him was a back 4 of Bishop, Taylor, Haskell and captaining the side Mitchell. A flat balanced midfield quartet of Luck, Lee, Newton and Liverpool supporter Paterson. And leading the attack were Onos and leading goalscorer Martin.

Liverpool started the game with Reina, Degan, Dossena, Hyppia, Arbeloa, Benayoun, Riera, Lucas, Alonso, N’Gog and Nemeth. There were again accusations that the premiership teams had underestimated us and devalued the competition, but that didn’t matter to us, we were there to play football against one of Englands most succesful sides.

The game kicked off and Wiggleville were certainly the brighter of the 2 sides forcing a save out of Reina after 6 minutes, some good build up play allowed Newton to play Martin through who got free of the defenders and struck towards goal, the Liverpool keeper was equal to it and turned it away. a minute later Wiggleville were on the attack again with a long pass up field by Bishop being met by Onos who shot wide.

Riera had a chance a few minutes later as a Alonso corner was cleared by Paterson, however Rieras shot also went well wide. After a hectic 10 minutes the game settled down as both teams tried to build attacks, each defence holding firm. Onos 17 minutes later once again sent a shot wide and from the goalkick Liverpool were on the attack with Riera, however his pass to Nemeth was well intercepted by Haskell who held firm and calmly played the ball out to Bishop who played a lovely ball forward for Luck. His run was cut short by Dossena who cleared the ball out for a throw.

From the throw in Wiggleville had another chance but Reina collected and launched a counter attack, however his kick was too long and Raastad played out to Bishop. Wiggleville looked to build from the back but Bishops pass to Paterson was intercepted by Nemeth. Liverpool attacked and Nemeth played a driving ball in towards the 6 yard box, and amongst the confusion the ball found its way into the Wiggleville goal, Stuart Mitchell being recorded as the scorer of an own goal. Liverpool 1-0 Wiggleville (Mitchell O.G. 27)

Wiggleville kicked off and had the chance to equalise not 4 minutes later when Dossena brought Onos down recklessly in the area, Taylor stepped up to take it but Reina again was equal to it. Despite Will Luck playing lady luck just didn’t seem to be on Wigglevilles side. That is until 6 minutes later when Liverpool again gave away a penalty Riera tripping Bishop. Neither the manager or the players had any arguments when Taylor once again stepped forward to place the ball on the spot and this time he made it count. Liverpool 1-1 Wiggleville (Taylor (pen) 37)

Lee had a chance just before the break to send Wiggleville ahead as he hit a volley, but it sailed well wide of the post. With 2 minutes of injury time the feeling around Wembley was that the 1st half would end 1-1, Martin had different idea as just before the whistle Paterson played a clever ball through to Onos, who had been largely disappointing, allowing him to progress forward and drive a low driven pass across the face of goal allowing Martin to tap in from close range. Half Time Liverpool 1-2 Wiggleville (Martin 45+2)

A big change was made at half time with opening goalscorer Mitchell taken off and replaced by Beckett, the captains armband was given to Taylor and the second half was his to command. The players were reminded how they got here through grit and determination and were told to show the same desire in the second half.

Onos seemed to have found his confidence following his assist when 5 minutes in he thought he’d scored but it was rightfully ruled out for offiside, but it was a clear statement of intent from Wiggleville who sensed Liverpool were possibly crumbling. This was shown when Dossena picked up a yellow card 3 minutes later for a trip on Luck. On the hour mark N’Gog, who had been very quiet during the game was replaced by Plessis, and Kuyt was replaced by Lucas. The Wiggleville players knew Liverpool were rattled and continued to press 67 minutes in Paterson had a good chance but his long range shot clipped the bar and went out for a goal kick. Minutes later Martin drove foward and had a low shot put out for a corner, Lee whipped it in from the right and at 6foot 4inches Martin easily met the ball and powered his header home. Liverpool 1-3 Wiggleville (Martin 69)

With the 3rd goal it became one way Wiggleville traffic, Liverpool failing to create anything against a defence brilliantly led by Taylor. And as the manager was making a change in the 87th to see the game out, bringing Horrox on for Onos, allowing Newton to sit as a defensive midfielder, Wigglevile found the net for a fourth and final time, through our midfield workhorse Ben Newton who deserved his goal. Lurking on the 18 yard box he fired home a rebound after Martin had driven a shot at Reina who could only parry the ball away. Liverpool 1-4 Wiggleville (Newton 87)

The goal proved to be the last real action of a sensational second half display by League 1 leaders Wiggleville FC. League Cup champions and a place in Europe the following season. The manager publicly praised the team and the fans in his post match press conference, saying that “The fans deserve this but no more than those lads who have battled out there today”. And thats exactly what they did and had done in all previous round the battled and fought for results and throughly deserve the success!

Well thats the transfer window well and firmly shut! The big deal of the window being Jeremy Toulalan moving to Arsenal from Lyon for £17m. There were many offers made for Wiggleville players however all were rejected, despite this there is a feeling that maybe Lee could be moving in the summer after being the centre of ever increasing bids.

Seen as no-one was sold there was no real need to bring any further personnel into the club on a permanent basis, however the loan deals of Weiss and Mignano were brought to a swift and early conclusion. Mark Randall’s loan expired despite efforts to extend it however Possebon remains with us until the season end. Therefore a few short term loans maybe considered.

There were no loan offers made for the 5 players mentioned in the previous post, so they will remain at Wiggleville to fight for their place.

With our cup commitments we have gained 2 games in hand on the rest of the league but remain 14 points ahead of 2nd place Colchester. However the month started with our FA Cup 3rd round tie at The Deva Stadium and is where I will begin the round-up.

The game started at a tremendous pace as Martin opened the scoring 44 seconds into the game and we made it 2-0 3 minutes later as Luck powered home a header. After that it was one way traffic, as the Wiggleville defence limited Chester to 3 shots, all of which were off target. For the next 20 minutes we continued to create chances, forcing a good save out of John Danby and Will Luck firing a free kick just over the bar. 4 minutes later Wiggleville were celebrating a 3rd as James Martin scored his second of the game. With half time approaching Wiggleville continued to press, good chances falling to Ben Newton, Ritchie Lee and Baba Onos who all failed to convert. Half Time at the Deva Stadium 3-0 to the visitors.

The second half proved to be much of the same, one way traffic from Wiggleville who were creating chance after chance but had to wait 15 minutes before they found the 4th, Martin sealing his hattrick. 10 minutes later and Wiggleville found the net again through substitute Edwin, who had replaced a dissappointing Onos. Wiggleville now 5 goals ahead slowed the play down and began to shut Chester out of the game. the last 20 minutes went by without incident, apart from a niggling injury picked up by Newton. Full Time 5-0 to Wiggleville.

Next up for the Wigglers was the long anticipated home leg of the League Cup Semi against Man Utd, the media anticipating that Man Utd would walk the game, those close to Wiggleville however could smell an upset. With both Newton and Taylor out for up to a month with knee injuries Insua and Broughton were brought in to the squad. The game started tentatively for Wiggleville with Raastad being called upon 5 minutes in to save a vicious shot by Tevez. The next 15 minutes however were all Wiggleville. Luck, Broughton and Onos having the pick of the chances, the score however remaining 0-0. Disaster struck 20 minutes in as Tevez ghosted into space and scored from 15 yards. Following that goal the game was played mainly in the midfield no team really capable of breaking the other down, that was until 2 minutes from half time when Jonny Evans scored a powerful header from a corner. Half Time Wiggleville 0-2 Man Utd

The second half kicked off and was again a midfield battle, which Man Utd were winning, as we were drawn into fouls and giving the ball away. With the game seemingly looking as though it were to end 2-0 Wiggleville made a few changes, going from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3, but before the changes could be made it went from bad to worse as Tevez grabbed his second with 15 minutes remaining. The Wiggleville players were told to go all out to find a goal, Lee and Luck being asked to push on and join the front 2. The last 15 minutes were all Wiggleville, we created numerous chances but failed to score and as we entered into stoppage time the League Cup dream was pretty much over as finding 3 goals at Old Trafford would prove difficult. In the 92nd minute however Luck scored but it was a consolation goal as the final whistle was blown and the first leg was lost 3-1.

After the break from the league it was nice to start up again, and it gave us chance to get over the disappointment of the cup. First up were Hartlepool at home who were dispatched with some ease 3-0 at least our league form seemed to be back on track, another home game followed with Carlisle the visitors, a 2-0 win the outcome, Bishop scoring his first league goal to go alongside his cup goal against Rushden the game also saw both Newton and Taylor making their comebacks a week before the away leg of the League Cup, however Taylor picked up a knock and was a doubt. Therefore Insua was drafted in for the next league game away at Oldham, Wiggleville finishing worthy 1-0 winners.

A run of 3 cup games followed, and despite him carrying a slight knock Taylor was brought back into the side to face Man Utd. Following the 1st leg the media once again had this down as a Man Utd win, and the optimism had faded amongst the Wiggleville players, despite this the whole squad travelled to Old Trafford to offer support. Before the game the Wiggleville staff and players were shocked to see what was a rather weak Man Utd line-up, Rafael and Manucho starting with Lee Martin, Fabio, Welbeck, Gibson and Hewson on the bench. An air of optimism surrounded the away team dressing room as thoughts of Chelsea flooded back.

This optimism carried onto the pich as after 22 minutes James Martin put us ahead, and thanks to Lucks last minute goal at the Falcon’s Nest, Wiggleville were now back in the game. The aggregate score sitting at 3-2 to United. Fergusons side responded brilliantly though and 3 minutes later restored the 2 goal cushion through Manucho. Half time arrived without further incident the aggregate scoreline reading 4-2. The players were told to go out and carry on the game as they had started it, Lee who had picked up a knock was brought off and Robinson sent on in his place with Luck dropping in as our winger.

12 minutes later Robinson gave the best possible reason why he should get more game time, Wiggleville were once again back in the game 4-3 on aggregate. For the next 20 minutes Wiggleville were searching for a 3rd that would take the tie into extra time, the defence had solidified and were keeping United at bay. In the 73rd minute Wiggleville found the opening they were looking for as inexperienced Rafael tripped Luck in the area gifting the Wigglers a penalty. Despite the protests going on around him Taylor kept his nerve to send the Wiggleville fans into dreamland, well we were in the Theatre of Dreams…! The aggregate score 4-4 with both teams having the same number of away goals. Extra time loomed and at the end of 90 minutes the players were told to keep battling to find that winning goal, and super sub Robinson popped up again after 110 to score the winner. Wiggleville were going to Wembley to face Liverpool, beating Man Utd 5-4 on aggregate!

Next we travelled to Birmingham to play Aston Villa in the FA Cup 4th round, we managed to grind out a 1-0 win thanks to Will Luck, and we were rewarded with a home tie against West Brom in the 5th round. The North Section Final of the JPT was next up and a short journey to Leeds United for the 1st Leg, to give the League and FA Cup heroes a rest a weaker team was sent out, Leeds punished this by pulling off a good 2-2 draw, however we did have a goal wrongly disallowed.

Back to the league and a home game against Millwall, goals from Martin and Mitchell secured a 2-0 victory.

P 34 W 31 D 3 L 0 F 112 A 9

League Form

P 23 W 20 D 3 L 0 F 69 A 7 Pts 63

Cup Form (FA and League Cup and JP Trophy Combined)

P 11 W 11 D 0 L 0 F 43 A 2

A few bad draws costing us our 100% record, the first coming 11 games into the campain against then second from bottom MK Dons, despite a dominating performance from the Wigglers, the previously free scoring attacking line up failed to finish their 8 chances on goal, however we did manage to lock the Dons out of the game limiting them to only 39% of possession and 0 shots, on or off target.

However it seemed to be just a blip as we then went on to score 30 goals in our next 8 league games conceding only 2, but once again we faltered away from home against play-off hopefuls Southend. They took the lead 16 minutes into the game, only for Luck to equalise 6 minutes later. Half time came and went the score 1-1, 15 minutes in however and Southend took the lead for a second time, and as the game wore on looked as though they would do what no one had managed in 29 games. Our Luck-y charm salvaged a point in the 90th minute to ensure we went home with our record in tact and a point.

Again on the road 2 league games later and we come up against mid-table Tranmere, the game started brightly for the Wigglers who went ahead through Ambrosini on 24 minutes, but we were pegged back 4 minutes later, the game then petered out, there were the odd Wiggleville chances but once again our potent strike force were unable to finish. The game ended 1-1.

Hopefully now as we battle through the 2nd half of the season we can make every game count and finish as brightly as we started.

On to the Cups, as can be seen above we are unbeaten in all cup competitions so far and have a 100% record to boot, in the League Cup we have reached the Semi finals and play the first leg at home Man Utd the visitors, normally a clash like this would instill some sheds of doubt however after seeing the players dispatch Chelsea 3-0 in the Quarter final anything is possible.

After facing Grimsby in the 1st round of the JPT we have powered through what many regard as a mickey mouse competition, seeing off Morecombe, Scunthorpe and Oldham, to line up a North Section Final against Leeds United, the first leg of which is to be played at Elland Road, Leeds may be looking for revenge after being well beaten 3-0 in the League.

And of course the FA Cup is underway, the 1st Round threw up a tricky away tie at Rushden & Diamonds, however we managed not to crumple under the pressure and ran out 5-0 winners. Lincoln were the hosts for the 2nd round but were knocked out of the competition 4-1, however they can take pride in the fact that they are one of only 8 clubs to have scored against us.

Just a quick round up of the Cup results then.

FA Cup

Rushden 0-5 Wiggleville (Martin, Beckett, Luck, Bishop, Onos)
Lincoln 1-4 Wiggleville (Onos x 2, Taylor x 2)

League Cup

Wiggleville 3-0 Fulham (Lee, Martin, Levy)
Hull 0-4 Wigglevile (Robinson x 2, Martin, Broughton)
Wiggleville 3-0 Chelsea (Onos x 3)

Johnstone’s Paint Trophy

Morecambe 0-4 Wiggleville (Onos, Luck, McDowall, Taylor)
Wiggleville 2-0 Scunthorpe (Martin x 2)
Oldham 1-7 Wiggleville (Martin x 2, Onos x 4, Lee)

And finally, a roundup of transfer activity, following the closure of the summer transfer window all has been quiet involving Wiggleville players, and leading into the January window Pele has allowed me to continue to reject any official approaches.

In terms of players in October was rather busy, with 3 further players joining us on loan, Mignano, a Central Defender who could possibly have the potential to work well in league 1 but nothing more was sent to us from parent club Juventus. However I was busy looking at a few other options and succeeded in bringing Arsenals young Attacking Midfielder Mark Randall to the club along with Manchester Uniteds Central Midfielder Rodrigo Possebon.

Leading into January a few players have been told they are to be sent on loan to hopefully gain some first team experience. This is in not the management trying to pave the way out of the club for these players, it is about getting them experience.

These players are:

Young Winger Matt Booth

Cultured Forward Edwin

Enthusiastic Full-Back Andy Fen

Tireless Midfielder Paul Horrox

Cultured Defensive Midfielder Alistair Paterson

I will update again at the end of the window!

The season has started brightly for League 1 new boys Wiggleville, who in 5 leagues games have managed to attain maximum points. However there is a feeling amongst the back room staff that maybe the team are not firing on all cylinders, which is a scary prospect!

Currently the league form is looking like this:

P 5 W 5 D 0 L 0 F 15 A 1 Pts 15

The last 5 league results:

Wiggleville 4-0 Northampton (Taylor x 2, Luck, Garner)

Carisle 0-3 Wiggleville (Luck, Martin x 2)

Wiggleville 2-0 Oldham (Martin, Luck)

Hartlepool 1-2 Wiggleville (Luck, Newton)

Millwall 0-4 Wiggleville (Edwin x 2, Whitbread O.G., Levy)

In the cups the Wigglers have also made a good start romping into the 3rd round of the League Cup following victories over Norwich and Premier League side Bolton. And in the Johnstones Paint Trophy Grimsby were knocked out by an undefeated Wiggleville side.

Wiggleville 3-0 Norwich (Martin x 2, Onos) League Cup 1st Round

Wiggleville 5-0 Bolton (Luck, Levy x 2, Newton x 2) League Cup 2nd Round

Grimsby 0-3 Wiggleville (Lansbury, Giuberto, Bennett O.G.) JPT North 1st Round

So that’s the fixture round up now for other information, after the first league game, and after a year of Wiggleville service chairman Pele decided it was time to cash in on explosive striker Peter Sale who was sold to Middlesbrough for £8m.

Joe Foale (New Zealand), Greg Beckett (Andorra) and Will Luck (Wales) have all broken into the International senior squads, all making 2 appearances for the respective nations. The majority of the younger English contingent of players have all made appearances for the Under 21′s and Under 19′s.

And the physio’s have their first major injury, Will Luck is expected to out for around a month with a pulled Hamstring sustained in training on the 10th of September.

Once again with Wiggleville without a manager and losing Costacurta to Montova it was all change in the 08/09 pre-season, Chairman Pele shuffled the staff and brought in a few new faces most notably Cafu as Assistant manager. And on the morning of the 8th of July, I was appointed as team manager.

My first job in charge was to respond to all the speculation regarding the teams key players. All clubs sowing interest were issued a ‘hands off’ warning and in my first press conference I made it clear no one would be leaving. Everytime an offer came in it was torn up and thrown in the bin.

In terms of transfers in only loan arrivals from our parent clubs, Henri Lansbury arrives from Arsenal and Vladimir Weiss from Man City.

Pre season passed rather uneventfully with Wiggleville playing 6 friendlies winning 5 and losing 1. The results and Wiggleville scorers can be seen below:

Eastbourne Boro 0-3 Wiggleville (Bishop, Martin, Lee)

AFC Wiggle 0-3 Wiggleville (Booth, Fletcher OG, Sale)

Wiggleville 2-3 Newcastle (Beye OG, Martin)

Wiggleville 7-2 Man City Reserves (Lee x3, Newton x2, Luck x2)

Wiggleville 4-0 Wolves (Sale, Martin x 2, Taylor)

Wiggleville 3-0 Arsenal (Newton, Broughton, Luck)

The league cup has drawn us against Norwich in the frst round. And such a good preseason leaves me feeling confident of a good result against Northampton in the first league game of the season.

The expected Line-up is:

GK: R.S. Raastad
DR: J. Bishop
DL: P. Taylor (VC)
DC: S. Mitchell (C)
DC: J. Haskell
MR: J. Garner
ML: R. Lee
MC: B. Levy
MC: B. Newton
ST: J. Martin
ST: W. Luck
